Cyclists on Capitol Hill

Get past your political biases and embrace a “bike –partisan” agenda. You’ll definitely hear that new outdoor buzz phrase at the National Bike Summit, which is in Washington, D.C., for the tenth straight year from March 9-11. The League of American Bicyclist annual bike advocacy event combines two days of educational workshops on topics like two–wheel transportation safety, alternative commuting and youth cycling programs. The event culminates with a rally on Capitol Hill and a full day of opportunities to meet with members of Congress and lobby for bike legislation. (www.Bikeleague.org)
