Greg Masterson, Eddie Doddard, and Larry Peters all participated in the 7th annual Tony Serrano memorial century this past Saturday, April 10, 2010 in Monroe, GA.  Weather was ideal, with temperatures rapidly rising from the high 40's into the 70's by mid ride.  The MACC trio did an excellent job of "representling" at the front of the lead peloton until around 35 miles.  At this point duties fell on the shoulders of our illustriouus club president as he hung tough with the front group for a respectable 4:40 total time.  The Monroe/Madison/Social Circle corner of the state is simply amazing for cycling.  Overall, the terrain is gently rolling with fairly low traffic.  Wind can be chellenging, espeially in the winter, as it cuts across pastureland. Still, everyone really owes it to themself to ride in this section of the state sometime.  Judging by all the positive comments we received along the route, it's really good for us to have club representation at area rides!
